Miniature Tree Fern
The Mini Tree Fern is one of the most beautiful tree ferns! The leaves are glossy, and firm, with a reddish appearance when young. They are fairly easy to grow, and grow mainly on land or grow on rocks. They form stolons, and like a moist location.
The seeds of this fern are actually very tiny spores. Please handle cautiously as they are very tiny!

Germination
It is important to use a sterile seed-start mix, or sterile a mix with boiling water, before planting. Use a pot with holes so water can drain. When cool, sow spores on the surface of the mix. Watering should be done from the base only (from a bottom tray), as watering from the surface will bury the seeds and they cannot grow. Cover the pot with clear plastic, and keep in a well lit location as light is required for germination. Do not place in direct sun. The ferns can take weeks or months to germinate.

International shipping: All countries outside of Canada require a seed inspection and a phytosanitary certificate, which is included in the cost of shipping. For USA orders we use this paperwork to get your order over the border (you will not see the certificate as it is taken at the border). Outside of North America, you will see the certificate arrive with your order. Though these certificates are costly, our customers tell us that they appreciate the option to order from us.
