    Description

Building Your Great Collection; One Fine Book at a Time
    [Calendar]
    New England Covered Bridges 1952
    by R. O. Bozarth
One bridge for every month, each captioned with the local name, the river crossed and location. The b/w photos were taken in the spirit of the month with winter showing ice. An additional 13th photo is on a cover page.
The pages are 9 by 16 inches with the photos measuring 4.5 by 3.5 inches.
The pages are held together by thick braded green string which would also serve as a hanger.
    A beautiful example of Americana.
There are no flaws to note.
At the height of the covered-bridge rage, there were more than 10,000 of these graceful, functional structures in the United States. Now that covered bridges have grown scarce only about 750 remain in the United States.
Each of these bridges is distinct, and each has a story to tell. Because of their meticulous construction and connection to New Hampshire's past, covered bridges were the first type of historic structure specifically protected by state law in New Hampshire.
